The Story Behind Aarogya Tech

Aarogya Tech was not born in a boardroom or a startup accelerator.
It began with a question that haunted Dr. Lokendra Thakur—an ICU physician who had spent over a decade on the frontlines of critical care:

Why do so many people end up here

Over the years, he had seen far too many patients—young and old—land in the ICU not because of rare diseases, but because of silent neglect. They arrived with complications that could have been prevented—if only someone had caught the early signs. If only they had known their “normal.” Their baseline. In medicine, knowing baseline vitals—heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, blood markers—can mean the difference between life and crisis. Yet for most people, their baseline is a mystery until something goes wrong. Lokendra believed this was a systemic failure—one that modern technology could solve. He was convinced that a simple, reliable way to monitor and remember our health baselines could shift the entire arc of care—from reactive to proactive.
The idea stayed with him, but he knew he could not do it alone.
In a quiet moment during a spiritual retreat in the Poconos, he shared this vision with a fellow attendee, Prashant Trivedi. What he did not expect was how deeply it would resonate. Prashant’s father, living back in India, had struggled for months with vague symptoms—tiredness, low-grade fever. His doctor dismissed them as nothing serious. A year later, he was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis. By then, it was too late. Had there been baseline, had the changes been tracked, maybe things could have been different.

That conversation lit a spark. They talked late into the night for a few months about how health could be measured better, how chronic conditions could be managed earlier, how millions could live longer, healthier lives if we could just catch the signs sooner.

Soon after, Ajay Vikram Singh, a common friend from the Bay Area, joined the founding team. A health data expert and AI leader from Meta, Ajay brought world-class expertise in artificial intelligence—exactly the kind of leap Lokendra and Prashant were envisioning. Ajay’s drive was personal: a family history of pancreatic cancer had left him determined to use AI for early diagnosis and lifesaving interventions. He believed Aarogya had the potential not just to improve care—but to fundamentally transform it.

The Power of Baseline and Continuity

But the real power of Aarogya begins after the baseline
Once you know your normal, regular monitoring helps spot small changes early—before they become serious. This enables timely nudges, smarter decisions, and early care. It is how we expand healthspan—the years we live in good health. And when someone does fall sick, doctors are no longer guessing. They see the full picture—what is normal, what changed—making treatment faster and more effective. Baseline gives context. Frequent tracking gives foresight. Together, they extend our healthspan.

Aarogya Tech has a simple but powerful goal

To conquer a world of disease and despair by establishing each person’s baseline of health and expanding their healthspan.
